ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Adams County Board of Supervisors for the purchase. from the lowest and best bidder, of the following item as needed, for the Adams County Road Department, for a New 2026 or 2027 Four-Wheel Drive Wheel Loader.
Bids must be received by 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the County Administration Building, 314 State Street, Natchez, Mississippi, at which time bids will be opened.
Bids submitted with qualifications or exceptions will not be considered.
All bids are to be SEALED, PLAINLY ADDRESSED TO THE ADAMS COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, and outside of envelope containing bids should be marked; “BID ON (# Item Bidding On)”.
Bids may be hand delivered to 314 State Street, Natchez. Mississippi or mailed to the County Administration Building, Natchez, Mississippi 39120.
Bid prices are to be firm and not subject to change during the period specified above.
The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waiver informalities and to reject any and all bids.

Adams County Road Department Specifications for New 2026 or 2027 Four-Wheel Drive Wheel Loader

Equipment offered for consideration must be new and current year model. Used, demonstrator, or discontinued models are unacceptable. Bidders shall include printed literature for the equipment offered.
The following specifications are considered minimum acceptable.
Engine:
Six (6) cylinder, turbocharged air-cooled diesel engine and shall be designed by Manufacturer
Engine shall be certified to meet Final Tier 4 emissions standards
Engine maximum net power shall be at least 166hp
Engine shall have an Auto idle, auto-shut down feature
Machine shall require diesel exhaust fluid and can be filled from ground level
Weight:
Minimum machine weight 30,950 lbs. without additional counterweight
Hydraulics:
Pump shall have minimum of 45GPM at maximum output
Bucket:
Hydraulic system pressure minimum at 3262 PSI
Hydraulic tank shall be no less than 21.7 US gallons
Hydraulic controls shall be equipped with either single lever joystick or forward/neutral/reverse switch standard on implement control joystick

Machine shall have two (2) batteries with 950 CCA (Minimum capacity)
Brakes:
Machine shall have 24-volt electrical system with 100 AMP alternator and with battery disconnects
Machine shall have service brakes that are completely closed and sealed in oil immersed disc brakes front and rear
The parking brake shall be automatic; spring applied, hydraulic released, oil cooled, multi disc and sealed or electric
Axles:
The final drives shall be heavy duty inboard planetary
Seals on axle and housing shall keep oil in and lock out contaminants out to prevent contamination
The machine shall have standard hydraulic locking front differential with conventional rear differential
Transmission:
Machine shall have preferred transmission with torque convertor or hydrostatic
transmission forward and 3 reverse gears with speed of 22 mph forward in fourth (4)

Transmission sight gauge shall be checked from the ground
Tires/Wheels:
Machine shall be equipped with Michelin 20.5R 25 tires with multi piece rims
Operators Station:
Machine shall be equipped with ROPS/FOPS protection
Cab with air conditioning and heat
Cloth covered air suspension seat with 3” retractable seat belt; seat shall be fully adjustable fore/aft position
Cab shall have cup holder, storage compartment, rubber floor mat and 12-volt outlet
General Specifications:
Machine shall have fenders covering front tires
Machine shall have built in counterweight
Rear bumper shall have a hitch with pin
Machine shall have a hydraulic or hydrostatic fan drive
Machine shall have ride control, automatic with speed settings
Fuel Tank capacity shall have a 51-gallon capacity
Machine shall have warning system lights for engine, oil, transmission and hydraulic functions
Machine shall have driving lights, turn signals, hazard flashers, stop and tail lights
Machine shall have gauge for: Engine coolant temperature, transmission oil
temperature, hydraulic oil temperature and engine oil pressure
Machine shall have digital read outs for: engine RPMs, odometer, transmission gear, direction, speedometer, hour meter and fuel level
Machine shall have environmental drains and oil sampling ports
The bid machine shall be equipped with OEM provided wireless communication system capable of monitoring and communicating machine location, fuel burn, as other machine performance data
Warranty:
Full machine warranty for the duration of the lease, including any and all travel time and millage
Buyback:
36-month machine buyback must be provided
Other:
Bidder shall have a certified parts and service center located within 50 miles of Natchez, MS Adams County
Must give estimate time of delivery
Cost must include delivery to one of the county barns
