PUBLIC NOTICE
Public Notice and Disclaimer of Ownership or Legal Responsibility.
Second Creek Watershed Drainage District (the ‘District”) owns and has the responsibility to maintain Dam No. 7 located east of Kingston Road, in Adams County, MS at latitude 31.4708 longitude -91.3393 (the “Dam”). The Dam is located on an easement granted to the District dated April 27, 1965 (the ‘Easement”) that burdens land now owned by Greenfield Timber and Resources, Inc. (“Greenfield”). The Easement is filed with the Chancery Court of Adams County, MS at Book 10E, Page 213. The design, construction, operation, modifications, inspection, repairs and maintenance of the Dam are, and have always been, the sole responsibility of the District. From and after the date of the Easement, Greenfield and its predecessors bear no responsibility for any claims by third parties resulting from the District’s ownership and management of the Dam.
